Quest Feature: The Dragonstone
2 minute read
Catir

After reaching Riverwood, you are confronted by a mage named Farengar Secret-Fire, court wizard of Whiterun Hold. Farengar is investigating rumors of the dragons spread by the village's residents. Most notably, he is searching for an artifact called the Dragonstone--and is willing to pay you handsomely to recover it from Bleak Falls Barrow, a nearby ruin.

In order to recover the Dragonstone, you'll have to overcome more challenges than just the undead that lurk within the barrow. To breach its inner sanctum, you must recover an ancient key in the shape of a dragon's claw, stolen by bandits holed up in a tower on the mountain's side. And to progress through the ruins, you'll have to face a mysterious dragon-worshipping cult, which has established a camp within the ruins' grounds.

In Extended Cut, you'll have the chance to delve deeper into Bleak Falls Barrow's secrets than ever before. Unearth the tomb of an ancient Dragon Priest, deal with the Dragon Cult, and even confront a mysterious new foe at the summit of the great falls... and keep an eye out for another adventurer who may be seeking the Dragonstone as well.

"First I hear Embry rambling about a living dragon - fine, the man’s a drunk. But now, even the sober townsfolk tell me you’re insisting you’ve seen a dragon? Why would you make such an outrageous claim?"

I looked up to see a man, hidden in the shadows of the vegetation. He was not like the golden and purpled-skinned beings that I'd just been accosted by. Instead, he appeared to be human. He spoke. "So, what transgression led you to be imprisoned...

I closed my journal after finishing a sketch of a particularly bulbous glowing plant. It was invigorating to catalog so many mysterious creatures and unfamiliar flora; I’d not felt this good since my 3-month stay on Cathnoquey. With my research...
